Our Community relationship with The CAM Team started in a very positive way as Linda and her Associates excelled in their presentations during the interview process we used to select a Management Firm. Linda was very straightforward and professional in response to all the questions we had and the presentation materials gave us confidence that we were interviewing a "first rate" group. A Group that showed a well organized team approach, but left no doubt as to Linda's leadership responsibilities.
Linda has excellent "people skills" whether with Board members, Community Residents, professionals she must interact with on behalf of the Association and all others that I have observed her working with. In an Association such as the Ravines with over 1000 Residents, a Community Manager must understand what the Contract with Association provides and never be found deficient in servicing that Contract. We have high expectations and needs. Linda has been available 7 days a week on an "as need basis." The Manager must also be totally knowledgeable of the Association's Covenants and Restrictions, ByLaws of the Association and relevant State Statues. Linda certainly excells in these expectations. The Manager must also be prepared to deal firmly but professionally with Residents in person, on the phone and in writing in response to their questions, concerns, frustrations, anger, and indeed in some cases belligerence. Again Linda excells.
Finally a successful Manager must understand where their responsibilities end and where the Board must be "in charge," but at the same time not allow that division of responsibilities to put the Board into a position in which they should not be. I believe Linda has those skills.
The RCA has been in a "state of flux" with regard to several different and difficult issues during the past 10 months of Linda's time with us. I believe we have made correct decisions where decisions were necessary and we have taken appropriate actions where called for. Our Association Manager, Linda Woods, has been instrumental and effective in providing the professional experience to help insure our success these past 10 months.
